Institutions interested in ABOCE accreditation should begin by studying the Conditions for Accreditation and Procedures for Accreditation. Together, these documents explain what an offsite construction degree program must demonstrate and how the accreditation review process will work.

The next step is internal academic discussion. A department’s, school’s, or college’s faculty curriculum committee should review the ABOCE model curriculum and consider how existing courses, faculty expertise, facilities, partnerships, and student pathways may support an accredited offsite construction program. The best application processes start with a detailed map of how existing course will be supplemented with offsite-specific curricula for a complete student experience.
